This is a Warriors Cats inspired book I'm doing for my senior project. I've had the idea and worldbuilding for this for a while now, although I don't have a name for it.
The plan is for it to be a Murder Mystery taking place in the cat colony of Berry Harbor; one of four colonies in the area (the others being Buttercup Camp, Willow Sanctuary, and Thorn Creed), where after a meeting between the colonies goes poorly, cats start going missing. One of Berry Harbor's sheriffs (the equilvalent of deputies except theres normally multiple of them), Nutmeg, decides to investigate what's going on and finds out that cats with relational ties to anywhere outside of her colony have been getting drowned in the local rivier by Berry Harbor's own leader, Daisy.
Right now, I have the overall of the story, and a basic plan for chapter one laid out, and I have a calender of when I'll work on the planning further. I hope to finish the planning phase by the end of September, but if I need to take more time I can (I decided to start on the project early because one of the seniors in my writing program recomended that I did as otherwise I would have only had, like, 8 months to write an entire book). I'm not sure how long the book will be yet, and I might have each chapter be a day in universe, but we'll see how things play out!
